Trace form sign-ups to a volunteer

This is an optional setting that lets you trace an outside sign-up form back to the volunteer who shared it. It works with EveryAction and NGP VAN forms, and you turn it on for a specific piece of content.

How to think about it

When you turn this on for a campaign that shares a link to one of those sign-up forms, Echo tags the link so a completed form can be matched to the volunteer who passed it along. That lets you give credit where it is due and connect a sign-up back to the group it came through. It only applies when the content points at one of those form systems. If the link goes somewhere else, the tag does nothing. Leave it off unless you are running forms on those systems and want this trace.

Turn it on

1. In the campaign editor, add a content piece whose link is an EveryAction or NGP VAN form.
2. In that asset, turn on Append market source code.
3. Save the campaign. When a volunteer shares the form, the link carries a tag that ties a sign-up back to them.
