Network Explorer
This is where you read every network your volunteers have mapped, and fix the ones that are wrong. Use it after a recruiting push, and before you plan a campaign around a particular audience.
How to think about it
Section titled “How to think about it”Everything downstream rests on what volunteers typed when they mapped a group. A size that is obviously a typo inflates your reach numbers. A description too vague to classify leaves a network with no tags and invisible in your planning. This is the screen for catching both. Correct sparingly and correct facts. A size, a location, a missing tag. The two descriptions are the volunteer’s own account of their group, so rewrite them only when they are unusable, not to make them read better.
Review your networks
Section titled “Review your networks”- Open Network Explorer.
- Sort by Reach or Networks, and read the breakdown by Audience, with networks and messengers for each.
- Open a network to see its full detail and who mapped it.
Correct a network
Section titled “Correct a network”From a network’s detail page you can change its size, both descriptions, how active the volunteer is or how often the group meets, its location, and its tags. Setting tags by hand also marks the network as reviewed, so it stops being flagged.
If a network has no tags because the labelling failed, retry it from here rather than asking the volunteer to change anything. Editing a description does not re-run the labelling.
