Share with your networks
This is where you act on a campaign’s content. You do it when a campaign is live and you have a group in mind for it.
How to think about it
Section titled “How to think about it”A campaign can ask for up to three different things, and they are not the same job. One is to post something to your own group, like sending it to a group chat you are in. One is to comment on or react to a post that is already public, so you add a real voice to a conversation other people are watching. One is to post an image or video to your own feed, where your followers already chose to hear from you. Pick the one that fits where you actually have standing. Whatever you do, add your own words. People respond to you, not to a forwarded link with nothing attached.
What a card shows
Section titled “What a card shows”Each card has a picture or preview on top. Below it is a line saying what kind of content it is and where it comes from, such as Article and the site name, then the title. A short line under the title says where the content works best, such as Best in group chats. When you have groups that fit, chips for them sit under that line. Up to two show, and a chip such as +3 opens the full list.
Under that is a box with your organization’s note. It reads Suggested caption on an image or video and How to frame this on a link. The box shows one line. Select it, or select More, to read the whole note and see every group that fits under Your groups. The buttons are there too.
On a link card, select the picture or the title to open the link in a new tab. On a Join the conversation card, that does the same as Go engage. A video link shows a label such as Watch on YouTube on its picture. Cards for image and video files don’t open when you select them. A video that is taller than it is wide carries a Vertical tag, and More shows it in full.
Above each section of cards, a counter such as 2 / 5 and previous and next arrows help you move through them. Swiping works too. When every card fits on your screen, the counter and arrows hide.
Share with your networks
Section titled “Share with your networks”On a link card, select Share. It sends only the link, not the note. On a phone, your share sheet opens so you can send it to a group or an app, and the button flips to Shared. On a computer the link copies instead and the button reads Copied. The note is advice for you, so write your own words when you send it. An image or video works as described under Post to your feed.
Join the conversation
Section titled “Join the conversation”Select Go engage. The post opens in a new tab so you can comment or react there, and the button reads Opened. There is nothing to report on afterwards. The tap is the signal.
Post to your feed
Section titled “Post to your feed”If the card has a Suggested caption, select the copy button beside Share first. Echo says Caption copied. Paste it in your post. In More, that button is labeled Copy caption. Then select Share to open your share sheet with the file. Share sends only the file, so the caption is not attached. Paste it into your post yourself. On a computer, the button reads Download to share and then Downloaded: save the file, then post it and paste the caption yourself.
After you share
Section titled “After you share”Tell your organization how it went. Select How’d it go? File a report. See Report back.
