Invite and manage users
This is where you add people and set what each person can do. You use it as your team grows or changes.
How to think about it
Section titled “How to think about it”Echo has four roles, and access widens as you go up. Give each person the narrowest one that fits their job. Most people are messengers. Add organizers when a team gets big enough that one person cannot keep up with it. Add a manager when you need someone running the organizers. Keep admin for the few people who build campaigns, because that role sees and changes everything. Roles and what each one sees has the detail.
Invite someone
Section titled “Invite someone”- Open Add User.
- Enter their Name and Email. Echo warns you if the address is already in your organization, and suggests a fix if it looks mistyped.
- Choose a Role. You only see roles you are allowed to grant.
- Select Send invite. They get an email with a sign-in link to finish setting up their account.
See everyone
Section titled “See everyone”Open Users. Filter by All, Messengers, Organizers, Managers, or Admins, search by name, email, phone, or zip, and sort by Name, Networks, Reports, or Date joined.
Change or remove someone
Section titled “Change or remove someone”Each row has a role dropdown and a ⋯ menu. What you see depends on what you are allowed to do to that person.
- Change their role with the dropdown. Echo asks you to confirm when the change reduces someone’s access.
- Resend invite appears while someone has not signed in yet.
- Clear bounce state appears when Echo has stopped emailing that address because mail to it kept failing. Use it once you know the address works.
- Remove from org takes them out of this organization.
