Manage tags
This is where you control the list of labels Echo can put on volunteers’ groups. You set it up early and revisit it as your work shifts.
How to think about it
Section titled “How to think about it”Echo reads each group’s description and labels it automatically with one label for who is in it and one for what it is about. Volunteers never set these. You manage the list of labels those automatic ones are chosen from. The labels are the link between a group and a campaign, because a campaign aims at certain labels and reaches the groups that carry them. So keep the list to labels that match how you actually plan campaigns. Too few labels and everything blurs together. Too many and groups get split across labels you never aim at. Name them in plain words a volunteer’s description would naturally use.
Manage your tags
Section titled “Manage your tags”- Open Settings and find Tag Management.
- Switch between Audience and Topic with the tabs.
- Select Add tag, enter a Label and a Definition, then select Save tag. The definition is what Echo reads to decide if a tag fits a group, so write it plainly.
- To change one, use Edit. To combine two, use Merge and pick the tag to merge into. To retire one, select Deactivate.
- After you change definitions or add tags, select Re-run under Re-run auto-tagging to relabel every network.
