Where clicks come from
When a volunteer shares a tracked link, Echo records each click and tries to guess which of that volunteer’s networks the click came from. Each guess gets one of three marks. Confirmed means Echo is fairly sure which network it was. Split means more than one network could explain the click, so the credit is shared. Pending means Echo is waiting on the volunteer’s report before it decides. These marks tell you how much weight to put on a guess. Confirmed clicks are solid. Split and pending clicks get clearer as reports come in. This is why reporting back matters even after the clicks already happened.
