Invite messengers

This is how you bring volunteers onto your team. You do it at the start and any time you recruit someone new.

How to think about it

You invite people with a link you can send, or a QR code you can hold up. Anyone who joins either way lands on your team, so you do not have to sort them by hand later. Send it to people you can actually support, not a mass list. A volunteer who hears from you and gets a quick answer when they are stuck stays active. One who joins and never hears from you drifts off. Treat the invite as the start of a relationship, not a sign-up.

  1. Open Invite Link (Invite on a phone).
  2. If there is no link yet, select Generate invite link.
  3. Under Your invite link, use the copy button.
  4. Send it to the people you want on your team. The page shows when the link expires, or No expiration.

Recruit in person with the QR code

Under Or scan to join in person, the same invite is drawn as a QR code. Select Show full screen to fill your phone with it. Someone points their camera at it and lands on the join screen. No app needed. Select Done to come back.

This is the fastest way to sign someone up at a meeting, a canvass, or a table.

Start over

Select Regenerate to shut off the current link and mint a new one. The old link and the old QR code both stop working, so re-copy the link and re-share any printed code.
