Networks
A network is one group a volunteer can reach. It can be a group text, a Facebook group, a church, or a neighborhood. Each network is online or in person. It has a size, which is the total number of people in it, a place, and two short descriptions the volunteer writes: who is in it, and what it talks about. Networks are the foundation of everything else in Echo. A campaign reaches a volunteer through a network, and results come back tied to networks. Small trusted networks often matter more than large ones, because a message from someone people know travels further than the same message from a stranger.
Who can see and change your networks
Section titled “Who can see and change your networks”You add your networks and you can edit or delete your own.
Your organizer, your managers and your admins can also see them, and they can edit them. From the Network Explorer they can correct the size, the two descriptions, how active you are or how often you meet, the location, and the tags. An organizer can only do this for volunteers on their own team. They cannot delete a network. Only you can.
This is deliberate. It is how staff fix a size that was clearly a typo or a description too vague to match, without going back and forth with you. If something of yours changes and you did not change it, ask your organizer.
